2015: Going for Two

This was the second year in a row that I committed to tracking predictions and blogging about it, so I picked the title "Going for Two" "Running the Football". I actually don't care for this title as much and wished I had gone with "The Running Game", but going back and changing all my posts would be a major pain in the butt. Going back and changing the posts took a while, on November 27, 2015, but it wasn't as bad as previously thought, and this new title can't ever be used again.

This year, I began by spending hours entering data from various rankings of the offseason changes in teams to create a number for each team that I would use to determine what I used to call "Rank". This became my 'Original Calculation' and combined rankings for draft & free agency picks, along with depth rankings, and wins from the previous season.

Around week 8, I began looking for different calculations that could be useful, and in the process of creating those numbers, I updated my spreadsheet to list all games in the same sheet. I was able to combine this sheet with other data I was collecting, like the projected records of all teams based on my calculation. I created three different new calculations, all based on weighting each win based on the rank of the opposing team, the point difference, or a combination of both.

The second line by my picture was "Biscuits and Gravy."
